Pre-submission checklist

Use this checklist before submitting AI-assisted work. It is the student checklist from Part I of Learning with AI.

• I know the AI policy for this assignment.
• I made my own first attempt before using AI for substantial help.
• I used AI for support, not replacement.
• I checked important claims, sources, calculations, or interpretations.
• I removed any AI-generated material I could not explain.
• I protected private, restricted, and confidential information.
• I disclosed AI use if the assignment required it.
• I can explain the final work in my own words.
• I can close AI and my notes and redo the key argument, calculation, proof, or paragraph from a blank page.
• I know what I learned from the process.

The blank-page item is the strongest single calibration check on the list. Explanation while looking at finished work is easy to confuse with understanding; reconstruction from a blank page is harder to fake.
